Abstract: BULUGAGAO DIANA ANDREA G. Relationship of Demographic Profile to Leadership Style and Work Performance of Barangay Officials in Selected Barangays of Trece Martirez City, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. April 2007. Adviser: Mrs. Imelda R. Filart. The study was conducted in selected seven (7) barangays of Trece Martirez City, Cavite namely Barangay Cabuco, De Ocampo, Inocencio, Lapidario, Osorio, San Gregorio and San Agustin from November 2006 to January 2007. This aimed to (a) determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, civil status, educational attainment, year of service and family income; (b) determine the leadership style of the respondents; (c) determine the work performance of the respondents; (d) determine the significant relationship of demographic profiles to leadership style and work performance of the respondents; (e) determine the significant relationship between the work performance and leadership style of the respondents. Descriptive design was employed in the study. Cluster sampling procedure was applied to identify the respondents of the study. Modified questionnaires from Federagao,(2005) was composed of demographic profile of the respondents including name, age, sex ,civil status, educational attainment, year of service, and family income. And questions concerning the work performance such as job satisfaction in terms of Incentive and opportunities, Safety and security, Proximity of the workplace and Fringe benefits and Work attitude in terms of Attitude toward work. Modified questionnaires on leadership style from Espiritu, (2006) was performed to determine directive, consultative and free rein leadership style. There was a significant relationship of demographic profile to leadership style and work performance in terms of year of service of respondents and no significant relationship between the work performance and leadership style of the selected barangays of Trece Martires City, Cavite.
