Recycling, in cooperation with junkshop owners, were also promoted in each subdivision. Other subdivisions composted their waste and practiced incineration. Each of the residents of the subdivision has a trash can in front of their houses where they disposal their solid waste and collected by the dump truck once a week. A total of 1 to 2 tons solid wastes were collected every week in each subdivision. The dumping site or the final disposal of solid waste in subdivision in General Trias, Cavite is located at Barangay Tapia General Trias, Cavite. Among the problems mentioned, attitude of the residents to follow proper waste disposal and lack of awareness of the residents not to follow proper segregation of wastes were encountered in the subdivisions.
