The study aimed to determine the level of job satisfaction of secondary school teachers from public and private schools in Upland Cavite with relation to their demographic profile, salary and benefits, relationship with co-workers, nature of work, and workplace. Specifically, it aimed to (1) describe the demographic profile of secondary school teachers in terms of (1.1) age (1.2) gender (1.3) civil status (1.4) length of service (1.5) rank (1.6) monthly income (1.7) field of specialization (1.8) number of students per section. (2) determine the level of job satisfaction of secondary school teachers between public and private secondary schools in terms of (2.1) salary and benefits (2.2) relationship with co-workers (2.3) nature of work and (2.4) workplace. (3) determine whether there is a significant difference in the level of job satisfaction between public school teachers and private school teachers. (4) determine whether there is a significant difference in the level of job satisfaction when respondents are grouped by (4.1) age (4.2) gender (4.3) civil status (4.4) length of service (4.5) rank (4.6) monthly income (4.7) field of specialization and (4.8) number of students per section. Descriptive research design was utilized in the study. Survey questionnaire was used to gather the necessary data. The study yields one hundred fifty (150) secondary school teachers from selected secondary schools in Upland Cavite, seventy-five (75) from public schools and seventy-five from private schools. The majority of the respondents were 29 years old and below. There were more female respondents than males. The most common rank of the respondents was Teacher I. More of the respondents were married. The most common field of specialization was Mathematics. Most of the respondents were up to nine years in service, has thirty-five (35) to fifty-nine (59) students and has a monthly salary of Php 10, 081 and below. The study showed that the public secondary school teachers were satisfied with regards to salary and benefits while the private secondary school teachers were fairly satisfied. In terms of the relation with co-workers, both the public and private school secondary teachers were satisfied. Also, in terms of the nature of work, both the public and private secondary school teachers were satisfied. In terms of workplace, private secondary school teachers were satisfied with the facilities while the teachers in the public secondary schools were fairly satisfied. The test statistic showed that significant differences existed in the level of job satisfaction of the respondents across age groups. Likewise, highly significant difference existed in the level of job satisfaction of the respondents across civil status. On the other hand, no significant differences were found in the level of job satisfaction when they were grouped by gender, length of service, rank, monthly salary, field of specialization and number of students Test statistics revealed that there is no significant difference in the level of job satisfaction between the private and public secondary school teachers in Upland Cavite.
