Abstract: GULLA, JENILYN M.; NUESTRO, BERNADETTE R; and PANEL°, WYNNETH D.; Just Nuts. Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science it Business Management major in Agribusiness, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2008. Adviser: Dr. Nelia C. Cresino. The project was conducted to enable the student-entrepreneurs to apply their knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to the actual operation of the business. Specifically, it was conducted to describe the production and marketing of nuts products; determine the profitability of producing and marketing nuts products; and identify the problems encountered in the production and marketing of nuts products and recommend feasible solutions to the problems identified. The project was conducted from December 3, 2007 to March 1, 2008. The production site is located at Aguado, Trece Martires City in the house of one of the entrepreneurs. It is accessible to all types of transportation and can be easily reached. The entrepreneurs choose the location because the place is big enough for producing the required volume of sweetened nuts and peanut butter. The business operation revolves around the production process with the assumption that customers favored readily available inexpensive products. The management's attention was focused on achieving efficient production and distribution system. The project started with an initial capital of PhP30, 000.00. The project offered different flavors and sizes of peanut butter, flavored nuts, choconuts, panutsa and bukayo. The entrepreneurs distributed their products to retailers and also conducted personal selling to customers like sari-sari store owners, relatives and friends. The entrepreneurs used cost based pricing and the existing price in determining the prices of their products. The enterprise had an initial investment of PhP30, 000.00 which was used in the procurement of tools and equipment, raw materials and supplies. The total sales during the entire operation was PhP57, 772.00. With a total operating expense of PhP5, 183.25, the project realized a net profit of PhP12,525.30. The problems encountered by the enterprise were high cost of production and delayed payments of consumers who purchased the product on credit.
