Abstract: The concept of utilizing rice hull ash as an artificial pozzolanic material in the production of rice hull ash cement came out with the idea of eliminating generation of silica particles present in the rice fields, thus conserving the natural pozzolanas. Rice hull ash cement is the portioned percentage combination of rice hull ash and pure cement. Its intended use is a binder for aggregates in concrete hollow block making. In addition, it is classified as Portland-Pozzolan cement due to its constituents. The product cannot develop its binding property without the source of hydration. This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of establishing Cemento Filipina Corporation in Brgy. San Francisco, General Trias, Cavite. The outcome of this study will serve as a basis in making decisions and recommendations whether to push through the project or not. Marketing analysis on the demand and supply situation of the existing product was determined. Surveys and interviews were conducted in various construction materials suppliers and cement manufacturers. Based on the information gathered, projected market share for the year 2008 is 71, 097 bags of rice hull ash cement. Technical aspects of the study, such as the manufacturing processes, machines and equipments availability, were considered. The manufacturing activities involved in the production are burning, pulverizing, mixing and proportioning, bagging and dispatch. Manpower requirements, its functions and compensation plan and the form of enterprise were discussed in the management aspect. The project will adopt corporation as a form of business enterprise. Financial stability of corporation was also considered. The initial capitalization is P 48, 984, 277 to be sourced from the stockholders. Payback period was determined to be 4.55 years. On the first year of operation, the company has an income of P 88, 538. Economic desirability and acceptability upon the project implementation were also considered and discussed in the socio-economic aspect. Based on the results of the study, it is strongly recommended the implementation of the project.
