The design and development of a microcontroller device for time and temperature control of a multi-crop mechanical roaster was conducted at Amadeo, Cavite. The general objective of the study was to design and develop a microcontroller device for time and temperature control of a multi-crop mechanical roaster.
The device was composed of the control unit, contactor, numerical keypad for inputs and for reset, two (2) push buttons, start and stop, two (2) light indicator for the Status, thermocouple, buzzer, seven (7) segments line matrix for the display, and a power supply.
Before the operation of the machine, the roasting temperature and time are set by the user through user input. The roasting process began by often pressing the start button. The 7-segments line matrix displays the status of the operation such as the remaining roasting time and current temperature. The indicator lights display the current status of the machine.
The microcontroller device for time and temperature control of multi-crop mechanical roasters was able to control the roasting time and temperature.
