Abstract: TORRES, LAARNI T. Influence of Spiritual Support Towards Self-acceptance of Selected Inmates in Cavite Provincial Jail, Trece Martires City. Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Science Major in Psychology Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2009. Adviser Ms. Teresa Amarille. The study was entitled, "Influence of Spiritual Support Towards Self-acceptance of Selected Inmates in Cavite Provincial Jail, Trece Martires City." The study aimed to determine the level of spiritual support and the level of self-acceptance of the respondents during incarceration. It also aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the influence of spiritual support and self-acceptance of inmates during incarceration. The study was conducted at Cavite Provincial Jail, Trece Martires City. The respondents were 100 Catholic male inmates attending spiritual activities. The study used a descriptive-correlational design with a purposive sampling technique. The lifted and modified questionnaire was validated and used to determine the level of Spiritual Support and Self-acceptance and also to determine the relationship of two variables. Results revealed that the Spiritual Support and Self-acceptance of the inmates during incarceration falls on the High level. It was also revealed that the null hypothesis was rejected, which means there is a significant relationship between the influence of spiritual support and self-acceptance of inmates during Incarceration.
