This study was about perceived happiness and well-being judgment among college students of public and private university in Cavite. This study aimed to determine (1) the perceived happiness of public and private college students in terms of past positive emotion, present positive emotion and future positive emotion; (2) the well-being judgment of public and private college students in terms of personal elements, social elements, spiritual elements, economic/material elements, physical state and recreational elements; (3) the significant difference between public and private college students in terms on perceived happiness; and (4) the significant difference between public and private college students in terms on well-being judgment. This study was limited to first year to fourth year college students taking up Bachelor of Science in Education of four schools namely: Cavite State University-Main Campus, Indang, Cavite and Polytechnic University of the Philippines Maragondon, Cavite representing public schools; and De La Salle University, Dasmarinas, Cavite and Philippine Christian University, Dasmarinas, Cavite representing private schools. The respondents were selected through the use of stratified random sampling, where everyone was given a chance to be part of the sample. Simple random sampling was applied to get the total number of respondents. Data was collected through the use of information sheet and survey questionnaire provided by the researcher; Happiness Test and Well-being Test that had undergone reliability and validity test. After the data gathered, it was analyzed and assessed by a statistician. Based on the result, the perceived happiness of public and private college students was high only. Respondents had high positive affect on their past, present and future events in their lives. Furthermore, the well-being judgment of public and private college students ranges from high to very high. They were very satisfied with the domains of their lives such as personal achievement, social relation and recreational elements. In addition, they were satisfied in their life, their spiritual elements, physical state and economic/material elements. There is no significant difference between public and private college students in terms of perceived happiness and well-being judgment.
