Data on products and services offered by the company, plans, corporate social responsibility programs and duties and responsibilities were gathered through questionnaires and interviews with the Senior Market Planning Manager, Senior Accounting Manager, Imports Documentation Assistants, HR Assistant, Secretary to the President, Accounting Department employees and some maintenance personnel. Observations within the company were also made to obtain more information. Researches were also conducted in the university libraries and through the use of internet. UMC is a family corporation, which focuses in the assembly and production of Nissan light commercial and recreational vehicles. UMC's primary goal is customer satisfaction. However, UMC faced some problems particularly on high inventory costs and delays in the shipment of goods. The conduct of field study is a great opportunity for the students to acquire more knowledge and gain experiences on how to be a professional in a real business setting. The trainee learned to do multi-tasking roles and had a chance to interact with different types of employees. It likewise further developed the trainee's communication skills and served as a good preparation for a future job.
