Abstract: PEREY, CHARLES PATRICK D. and UNTALAN, EDSON E.Production of Bath Soap from Pineapple Core. Research Study. General Science Curriculum. Science High School, College of Education. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite, March 2010. Adviser: Mrs. Ma. Corazon V. Herrera. The study entitled "Production of Bath Soap from Pieapple Core" aimed to produce bath soap from pineapple core; determine the sensory properties of the bath soap from pineapple core; determine the pH value of the soap produced and to; determine the eactiveness of the bath soap as stain remover. In the conduct of the study, the pineapple cores were first collected from the researchers' house. Then the pineapple cores were grated finely and the lye solution was prepared by mixing it with water, oil was mixed with the solution and was stirred continously. The pineapple core was added to the mixture. Lastly, the bubble enhancer was added to the final mixture and wasblended using a mechanical blender. The produced bath soap were evaluated in terms of its sensory properties and its effectiveness as stain remover. The odor of the produced bath soap is slightly perceptible, appearance of the produced bath soap is acceptable while the lather is lathering. The texture of the produced soap is smooth and the hardness was rated hard. On the other hand, the effectiveness of the produced bath soap in removing blood, ketchup and soy sauce stain are all effective. 'Me respondents rated the bath soap produced as acceptable.
