Dagasdas Jr. The design of a six-storey school building for Indang National High School was made from October of 2009 to March 2010 at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Cavite. The objectives of the study were: to conduct an analysis and design of a six-storey classroom building using engineering procedures; and to design a six-storey reinforced concrete building which may serve as a reference for the possible expansion of the facilities of Indang National High School. The design of the proposed six-storey school building for Indang National High School was done through the use of a computer software known as Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD). This software was used to simplify the complex computations regarding the design project. Different references were also used in the analysis of structural members. The design project included the architectural plan, structural plan, lighting and plumbing lay out, cost estimate and 3D presentation of the building. The total estimated cost of the project was Php 198,889,179.50.
