DESIGN OF KAYQUIT BRIDGE IN INDANG, CAVITE. The design project was conducted from October 2009 to February 2010. It was evaluated on 23"1 of February, 2010 under the supervision of Engr. Marcelino A. Dagasdas, Jr. at the Department of Civil Engineering of Cavite State University. The design project aimed to enhance the knowledge of researchers in designing of reinforced concrete deck girder Type Bridge. The proposed design includes architectural and structural plans. The design would serve as a reference for the future implementation of the design project. The design would be of great have to the decision makers for future implementation. The design of 36 meters, multi-span bridge is appropriate as replacement of the existing bridge. Reinforced Concrete Deck Girder type of bridge was designed with five girders and two design lanes. To determine the most economical section to be adopted in bridge design, it was highly recommended that a further study of multi-span bridge with five to a limited number girder should be conducted. The construction of road was not included. When the bridge was established, rip wrapping must be recommended to avoid attrition of soil. The direct estimated cost of design project was 3,480,094.80 pesos.
