An entrepreneurial project was conducted at the Animal Science Poultry House, Department of Animal Science, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from July 23 to August 30, 2010, with the objective of exposing the student to actual broiler production and to enhance his entrepreneurial skills. A total of 100 day-old chicks were raised. After a rearing period or 38 days, the birds consumed a total of 305 kg of feed with an average feed consumption of 3.05 kg per bird. The birds obtained an average final body weight of 1.61 kg. Derived feed efficiency was 1.91 and computed harvest recovery was 99 percent. The project was found to be profitable with a net income of PhP 3, 136.00 and a return on investment of 29.23 percent.
