Abstract: An entrepreneurial project on broiler production was conducted at the Department of Animal Science Broiler Project at Cavite State University Indang, Cavite from January 14 to February 18, 2013. The project was undertaken to provide the student an opportunity to gain more knowledge and skills in raising broilers; harness the entrepreneurial skills of the student in operating and managing a broiler production project; and determine the profitability of backyard broiler. After 35 days of rearing period, the birds posted an average weight of 1.64 kg, an average feed consumption of 2.81 kg, resulting to a feed efficiency of 1.71 kg. A 98 % harvest recovery was recorded. The project had total sales of Php 15, 288.00 with actual expenses of Php 11, 569.00. A net income of Php 3, 719.00 was realized. Return on investment was recorded at 32.15 %.
