Abstract: ROBILON, ROSE ANN L. Perceived Parenting Style, Impulsivity and Aggression of Youth in Conflict with the Law from Juvenile Center in the 5th Congressional District of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2013. Adviser: Ms. Evalyne A. Rodriguez. The study was conducted to determine the significant relationship between perceived parenting style and impulsivity and the significant relationship between perceived parenting style and aggression of youth in conflict with the law from juvenile center in the 5th Congressional District of Cavite. The study required the participation of 41 youth in conflict with the law who were currently under the supervision of social workers and staffs in a juvenile center during the conduct of the study. The study utilized the Descriptive-Correlational design while Purposive sampling was used in determining the participants of the study. One questionnaire and two scales were administered to the participants, which determined their perceived parenting style, impulsivity level and aggression level respectively. The results revealed that most of the participants perceived permissive parents. Their impulsivity level was found to be high-average while their aggression level falls on the average level. The results also revealed that there is a significant relationship between parenting style and impulsivity. Meanwhile, perceived parenting style and aggression was also found to be significantly related.
