Abstract: RODIL, KRISTEL MAE M. Demographic Characteristics, Stress Level of High School Students at Pangil National High School at Pangil, Amadeo, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2013. Adviser: Alma Fatima R. Pagkalinawan. The general objective of the study was to determine the demographic characteristics (age, gender, year level, number of family members, monthly family income) and stress level (in terms of family, school, personal, and peer); to know if there is a significant relationship between stress level and demographic characteristics; and to determine if there is a significant difference between stress level and demographic characteristics. The study used a descriptive comparative-correlational design. A total enumeration was used to represent the population of the subject. One hundred eighty eight (188) participants were asked to answer an 80 item modified survey questionnaire that went throught test re-test to determine its reliability and validity. Answered questionnaires were analyzed and statistically tested. Result shows that most of the participants were 15 years of age and most of them are female and they are from sophomore year. Majority of them had five members in their family and earned 10,000-20,000 monthly family income. Result also confirmed that there is no significant relationship and no significant difference between demographic characteristics and stress level.
