The study was conducted at the College of Engineering and Information Technology of Cavite State University in Indang, Cavite from June 2004 to February 2005. The analysis and design was done in Room 3 Annex Building Ladies Dormitory at Cavite State University and in Pilapil’s residence in Sambat, Balayan, Batangas.
The study aimed to develop an on-line alumni records for Cavite State University. Specifically, it aimed to develop a software that has an online registration for new alumni user, provide an on-line posting of events and activities concerning alumni that allow them to give their reactions and suggestions; and develop a software that allow the user to have access to information about the alumni.
In developing the software, data were gathered through interviews with the staff in Alumni Affair Office of Cavite State University and researches through the internet.
The software was then designed following the Hierarchical Input Process Output (HIPO)/Input Process Output (IPO) chart in order to visualize the program architecture.
The developed software used Fourth Generation Technique (4GT) as the paradigm and for the coding and designs. Active Server Pages (ASP) was the scripting language,
Structured Query Language (SQL) for the database and Adobe Photoshop for the design of the web pages. .
