Abstract: Sidamon, Marilen, Garcia; Valencia, Rizi, Villanueva; and Viado Shahatti Dymph, Cabilin, Applied Research III (General Science Curriculum), Laboratory School College of Education, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, 2001, “ The Utilization of Sea Corals (cnidaria anthozoa) in the Manufacture of Chalk” Advisers: Mrs. Purificacion Iagan. Prof. Dulce Ramos The research study entitled “ The Utilization of Sea Corals (cnidaria anthozoa) in the Manufacture of Chalk ” was conducted at Buna Cerca, Indang, Cavite from May to October 2000. This was conducted to determine if corals could be used in chalk making as a substitute to calcium carbonate and other chemicals, Generally this study aimed to utilize sea coral by- products in the manufacture of chalk. Three treatments replicated twice were used in the study. Complete Randomized Design (CRD) was the design of the study. One -way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze the data for physical evaluation and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test for the comparison of treatments. Chalk made of corals does not contain any chemicals that cause skin diseases, allergies and asthma. It can be made in a very easy and simple way. Based from the result of the study, chalk made of corals can be used in writing for it is made of good materials for chalk making because of its calcium carbonate.
