Abstract: MOJICA, ACEL PAOLO. PEREY, OWEN. RUPIDO, JIM ANDREW. SANGANGBAYAN, ZALDY. Applied Research III (General Science Curriculum) Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2002. ‘Evaluation of Regeneration Response of Selected Meristem and Somatic Tissues of Excelsa and Liberica Coffee”. Adviser: Dr. Alejandro Mojica, Sr. This study is conducted to evaluate the regeneration response of the selected meristem and somatic tissues of excelsa and liberica coffee by treating them with rooting hormones NAA and Coco grow. The study follows the single factor experiment in RCBD arrangement with three replications. The data gathered are subjected to the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Comparison of treatment means is done using the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The top portion of the cuttings containing the apical meristem and treated with coco grow gives the highest mean percent survival of 27.78 %. | The top portion of the cuttings applied with NAA, together with the cuttings in the middle parts of the water sprouts containing the axilliary buds whether treated with NAA and coco grow follows with comparable means. Unexpectedly, the cuttings from the bottom parts containing the axilliary bud were not able to survive even if they are treated with NAA and coco grow. The shoot and root formation are all-insignificant during the termination of the study.
