Abstract: DEVERALA, METZ B. AND PROFETA, MICHELLE G. Design and Development of 2D Directory of the Different Barangays for the Municipality of Indang. Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Perey. The Design and Development of 2D Directory of the Different Barangays for the Municipality of Indang aimed to develop software wherein users can be directed by the system to a specific barangay by they opted to choose from the list of possible choices. It is equipped with the ability of viewing thefollowing: barangay mission, vision, events, objective, landmarks and organizational chart. The main purpose of the software was to guide users to their chosen barangay and familiarize them with the barangay information and barangay officials which they can view in the system. There is no existing system used for guiding people through the different barangays of Indang. Only manual operations like walking and asking personnel inside the Municipal hall or asking random citizens and the common practice. Although there is a map available in the Municipal hall, the information is not enough for people to be guided to the specific barangay they want to go. Because there is no exisiting system implemented for guiding people through the different barangays of Indang, it can be confusing for people especially when barangays in the farthest part are the target place to go. There is no estimated time of travel and people have no idea whom to approach when they get there. It really slows down the process and takes more time to accomplish what they need to do. The study used Prototyping Model as methodology. The model consists of the following phases: Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation and Testing. The developer used different applications such as Unity Game Engine for animation, MS Access as database, Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as programming language and Adobe Photoshop CS5 for image editing and animation. Software evaluation was conducted at the different barangays of Indang with the total of 100 respondents. The software was evaluated using different criteria such as Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability and Portability. Overall, the software got a "Very Good" rating, thus means the system met the requirements.
