Abstract: BACUNA, JOHN RESURECCION I., Proposed Sustainable Building Complex for the Business Center of Cavite Special Economic Zone. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, indang, Cavite. October 2013. Adviser: Ar. Elda Magna Guinto-Libut. The design project was conducted from June 2012 to October 2013. The study aimed to conceptualize a design proposal for a sustainable building complex for the Business Center of Cavite Special Economic Zone. Specifically, it aimed to: (1) establish a site criteria to assess the allotted sites compliance; (2) establish a design consideration efficient for the building complex; (3) formulate a design concept that will be the guide for conceptualizing the overall general design of the building; (4) formulate a form concept that will be the guide in conceptualizing the form/ shape of the building complex; (5) formulate a design philosophy that will serve as a principle that will guide in planning and designing; (6) determine through space programming the necessary spaces ,areas, features, and facilities necessary for the building complex; and (7) formulate a site development plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, and perspectives. The shallow part of Bacoor between the R1 expressway and the mainland Bacoor was identified to be the best fitted site for the proposal. At the end of the study, the researcher was able to conceptualize a site development plan, necessary floor plans, elevations, sections, and perspectives for architectural presentation and manuscript.
