Bachelor of Sport and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Dr. Almon R. Oquendo. This study was conducted to determine the evaluation of swimming training program of Cavite State University, Specifically, this study described the effectiveness of training program in terms of equipment, swimming drills and training level. This study evaluated the CvSU Swimming Training Program as basis for the enhancement of the program. Specifically, the study determined the effectiveness of the Swimming Training Program of Cavite State University as perceived by swimming athletes, ascertained whether there is a significant difference in the evaluation of swimming athletes the effectiveness of Swimming Training Program of Cavite State University and Benchmark Swimming Training Program; and examined the similarities or differences of the Swimming Training Program of Cavite State University and the Benchmark Swimming Training Program. Descriptive research design was utilized in this study. A total of 50 athletes served as the participants of the study. A survey instrument was used to gather data from the participants. Descriptive statistical tools were used to answer the problems posed in this research. The CvSU Swimming Training Program was effective as the swimming athletes perceived that the program was "very effective" in enhancing their swimming techniques and capabilities. All areas of effectiveness of the training program evaluated, such as equipment, swimming drills and training level were perceived by swimming athletes as "very effective" In comparison with the Benchmark, the CvSU Swimming Training Program had higher ratings than the Benchmark Swimming Training Program as evaluated by the swimming athletes. T-test revealed that that there is no significant difference in the perceived effectiveness of the CvSU Swimming Training Program and Benchmark Swimming Training Program. This means that the CvSU Swimming Training Program is comparable or similar with the Benchmark Swimming Training Program.
