This study was conducted to determine the relationship of social acceptance and self — efficacy of selected homosexuals in Home for the Golden gays at Pasay City. Specifically this study aimed to: 1.) determine the demographic characteristics of gays in terms of age, civil status, religion and educational attainment; 2.) determine the level of social acceptance of the participants in terms of family relations and community relations; 3.) determine the self — efficacy level of gays ; and 4) determine the relationship of demographic characteristics and social acceptance, demographic characteristics and self - efficacy, and social acceptance to self — efficacy. The study was conducted from December 2013 to January 2014. Descriptive correlational design was used in the study. A total of 60 gays from Home for the Golden Gays in Pasay City were chosen as participants. Results revealed that majority of the participants were ages 61 to 75 years old and the least were 76 years old and above. It was also found that all the participants were single, catholic in religion and most were high school graduate. It was revealed that there was a low level of social acceptance for the participants in terms of family relations and community relations. It was also found that gays have a very high level of self- efficacy. Likewise, age was found to have a relationship to social acceptance and self- efficacy of participants. In contrast, educational attainment has no relationship to social acceptance ad self- efficacy of gays. It was also then revealed that there was significant relationship between social acceptance and self- efficacy of participants.
