Abstract: RICAMONTE, DARWIN I. and SARATAN, NIKKIE F., m.Gazette — A Mobile Application for Cavite State University Student Publication. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Lydia P. Nosa. The study entitled "A Mobile Application for Cavite State University Student Publication" was conducted from June 2013 to. April 2014 in Cavite State University (CvSU) — Don Severino Delas Alas Campus. The objective of the study is to develop a mobile application to improve the services offered by The Gazette. It was developed to the information dissemination, lessen the wasted newspapers and the copies being stored for future reference. The proponents used Software Development Methodology as paradigm for the development of the software. It is a software engineering process, aimed at guiding software development organizations in their endeavors. The methodology is consists of process workflows; analyze/planning, breakdown priority project, design module, code — test/debug, integration of sub procedures, integration with existing system,. Test /implementation. The respondents are composed of instructors and students which are determined using simple random sampling and quota sampling respectively.. The mobile application was evaluated using the questionnaire anchored in the ISO 9126 and was rated excellent in the set of characteristics such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability. m.Gazette helped the student publication unit of CvSU address the issues that the organization are facing. The software methodology used is suitable in developing a mobile application. It can be improved through related recommendations that will best serve The Gazette. The researchers recommended to improve the user interface of the mobile application, add modules that will provide interaction with the readers and a module for sending contributions using the mobile application.
