This study was carried out to determine the employment status of the Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing/Marketing Management graduates !loin 2003-2011 Specifically, it aimed (1) describe the socio-demographic characteristics of the marketing/marketing management graduates; (2) determine the employment status of marketing/marketing management graduates from 2003-2011, (3) determine the income of the participants; and (4) identify the problems encountered by the participants on their previous and current employment.
The participants of the study were 243 Business Management major in Marketing/Marketing Management graduates of Cavite State University from 2003-2011. Frequency counts, percentage, mean and range were used to determine the socio-demographic characteristics, current employment status and income of the participants. Ranking was used to determine problems encountered by the participants in their previous and current jobs.
The study revealed that more than half of the participants were employed by the private firms in the country, holds a permanent appointment and holds a rank and file position. Most of the participants also have previous jobs before they are employed in their current job. Some of the reasons for leaving their previous jobs were end of contract, low salary, health problems and personal problems. Others also want to have career growth and also had given better opportunities to work abroad. The employed participants had a monthly income ranging from P5, 000 to 15,000 and the self-employed participants had a monthly income ranging from P1, 000 to P10, 000.
However, the major problem that the participants experienced in their previous job/s is difficulty of adjustment with the job. On the other hand, the major problem on the participants' current job is being far from home.
