Abstract: CHARLENE VILLAREAL DECIAR, Employment status and organizational commitment of faculty members of Cavite State University. Undergraduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. The aim of this study this research was study the Employment status and Organizational commitment of Academic Faculty member of Cavite State University. The study described the demographic profile of the participants in terms of gender, age, civil status, Academic Rank, Educational Attainment, and Years of teaching experience, and monthly income, the employment status of the Academic Faculty Members, level of orzanizational commitment in terms of Affective, Normative, and Continuance, &tenificant differences in the level of organizational commitment when group according to their demographic profile, Significant differences in the level of organizational :zinmitment when group according to their employment status. The study made used of the Descriptive correlation method of the research. Mean, agency, ranges and percentages were used to analyse the data. Mann Whitney and Kraskal Wallis test were also employed. Majority of the participants were found to be in the age bracket, 29 years old and below. female, single, with rank of instructor, bachelor's holder, teaching and working in Se university for almost 5 years and earning an income ranging from Php 20,000 to Php 29,999. It was found out that the demographic profile of the participants in terms of age, ast of them ages 29 and below old, most of the participants were dominated by the isle. most of them were single, most of the were instructor, most of them are taking Mastered Unit, most of them were 5 years and below in years of teaching experience, most of them were 5 years and below in their present employment status, and majority of the participants were 20,000 to 29,999 of their monthly income. The faculty members were moderately committed to the university. The organizational commitment of the participants in terms of affective was significantly different according to their employment status. No significant difference in the level of the organizational commitment in terms of affective, normative and continuance when group according to gender was found, however, there is significant difference in the level of organizational commitment in terms of affective when group according to age, civil status, educational attainment, and monthly income. There is significant difference in the level of organizational commitment in terms of continuance when group according to attainment. Employer with permanent employment status has high commitment in terms of affective and normative division of organizational commitment while those with temporary and contractual status showed no commitment to university.
