Abstract: DOB, CRISTINE S. Profitability Analysis of One Town One Product Program in District VI of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Dr. Nelia Cresino. The study was conducted to identify the profile of the One Town One Product (OTOP) in General Trias and Amadeo, Cavite; determine the assistance received by the cooperatives; identify the costs of the two cooperatives; identify the benefits of the cooperatives; determine the profitability of the cooperatives; and determine the problems encountered by the cooperatives in their OTOP program. Secondary data were used in the study using the financial statements from the cooperatives of General Trias and Amadeo, Cavite. The profitability ratio analysis was used in this study to show the cooperative’s overall efficiency and performance such as gross profit margin, net profit margin, return on investment, return on equity and cash return on assets. Based on the costs of the cooperative, majority of their costs were spent for the compensation and benefits of employee and almost 30 percent of their total costs were for other expenses. Moreover, a portion of their costs (1%) was spent for the education of the members of the cooperative. Moreover, the larger part of the income of the cooperatives were from the cooperative’s loan services and small portion were from bank deposits. The author recommended, based on the results of the study, for the continuous support of the government to the cooperatives, promote the establishment of more cooperatives, and conduct studies that are relevant to the study.
