Demographic Profile and Level of Satisfaction of Tertiary Students on the Health Services Provided by the University X Infirmary Unit. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Mrs. Nenita B. Panaligan, RN, MAN. The study was conducted in University X from December 2013 to March 2014. The study described the demographic profile of respondents in term of their age, Sex, college affiliation and year level; determined the health services offered by the University X Infirmary Unit; determined the awareness of the students on the health services offered by the University X infirmary; identified the level of utilization and satisfaction of students on the health services provided by the University X Infirmary Unit; determined significant difference between the demographic profile of the students in terms of their degree of utilization and level of satisfaction; and determined significant relationship between the degree of utilization and satisfaction level the of the students. The participants of the study were composed of 432 students, which were divided into nine colleges of the University X. The data gathered through the survey was conducted from January 2014 to March 2014. Mean, frequency, and standard deviation were used to present the distribution of the tallied data. Likert scales and weighted mean were used to further analyse the gathered data. Kruskal- Wallis Test was used to identify the significant difference between the demographic profile of the students and their: degree of utilization of health services and level of satisfaction. Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was used to determine if there is any significant relationship between the degree of utilization and level of satisfaction of the tertiary students to the health services offered by University X Infirmary Unit. Based on the result of the study, the ages of the students were ranging from 16 years old to 21 years old and above. The majority of the respondents are 18 years old. General medicine, dental services, diagnostic (x-ray) and laboratory test were the main services offered by the University X Infirmary Unit. The most utilized health service was pre-enrolment and annual physical examination that was under general medicine, while the x-ray of the skull, soft tissue lateral, and cervical (neck) were the least utilized health services that was under diagnostic services. In this Study, it was identified that the students of University X is satisfied with the cleanliness, accommodation, security service, personnel-patient relationship, availability of medications and diagnostic finding, general medicine, dental services, laboratory and diagnostics tests offered by the unit. The study also showed that there is a difference in demographic profile of the tertiary students in terms of their degree of utilization and level of satisfaction. Moreover, it revealed that there is a relationship between the degree of utilization and level of satisfaction when grouped accordingly to their demographic profile of the tertiary students to the health services offered by the University X Infirmary Unit.

The study was conducted in University X from December 2013 to March 2014.
