Abstract: RODRIN, SARAH JANE R. "Evaluation of Credit and Collection Policies of St. Bernadette Publishing House Corporation" Undergraduate Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Financial Management, College of Economics, Management, and Development Studies, Cavite State University, Don Severino delas Alas Campus, Indang Cavite. The study aimed to evaluate the credit and collections policies of St. Bernadette Publishing House Corporation. Specifically, it aimed to determine the compliance of the clients with the policies of St. Bernadette Publishing House Corporation; determine and analyze the credit and collection trends, identify the existing problems encountered by St. Bernadette Publishing House Corporation regarding evaluation of credit and collection policies; and recommend feasible solutions to identified problems. The study focused on the evaluation of credit and collection policies of the company. Primary data were gathered through personal observations and interviews with the managers and employees/workers as well as the clients of the company. Secondary data were obtained from the records and files of the company. Descriptive research design was used to answer the problems and objectives presented. Evaluation of credit and collection policies of St. Bernadette Publishing House Corporation was done using discount time, credit period, credit standards, and credit cap. The author observed that the credit and collection policy of SBPHC was effective because of the promising trend of collection. In handling credit and collection, the most important characteristic that anyone in the company must possess is patience. Just like the agents and the company, when it comes to the collection of payments, they need to show that they value most their clients. These agents serve as the frontliners in behalf of the company, so it is expected that they express passion at/to their work. They have to balance the importance of their company and clients at the same time. The company prefers Post Dated Check for payment for easy collections and provides discounts to non-delinquent clients.
