Abstract: PENAS, REX P. “Design of Electrical Distribution System for Cavite State University - Rosario Campus.” Graduate Design Project. Master of Engineering Electrical Engineering. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. November 2014. Adviser: Engr. Efren R. Rocillo. The electrical distribution plan of Cavite State University-Rosario Campus (CvSU-Rosario) was designed with reference to its campus development plan. The design started with the initial survey to evaluate the existing electrical load. This data was taken into account in order to assess the accurate load requirements. The design also included fault calculation which was the basis of determining the selection of switchgear. Voltage drop and voltage regulation were also part of the analysis to ensure that each facilities will have sufficient end voltage. The estimated load requirements of each building were also prepared in order to conform to the latest Philippine Electrical Code. Although there are already existing electrical load, it was inevitable to prepare new reference load so as to meet the actual electrica! volt-ampere requirements of each facilities. The primary line cable of CvSU-Rosario electrical distribution is designed with 3 - #10 AWG ACSR and 1 - #2 AWG ACSR for neutral cable. It has an ampacity of 242 amperes which is 40 percent more than the requirement of the system, thus, there is enough capacity for future load expansion without affecting the primary line.
