A Plant Practice Report entitled “Quality Assurance Operation in the Production of Powdered Juice at the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. was conducted at the Coca- Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc.- Imus Plant, Brgy. Buhay na Tubig, Imus, Cavite from November 14 to December 29, 2011. This plant practice was conducted for the student trainee to gain knowledge and experience in actual quality assurance operations in the food manufacturing industry. Specifically, this plant practice aimed to provide the student the opportunity to observe quality assurance operation in the production of powdered juice at CCBPI; provide hands-on experiences on quality assurance during the whole production process; and develop student’s skills required of a quality assurance specialist. The student trainee was assigned in the receiving section of different raw materials and packaging materials like sugar, wrappers, and cartons. Skills in evaluating and inspecting the minor, major, and critical defects according to the specifications that are implemented in the company, were acquired. Hands-on experiences in PCQI testing, product testing (in process/ blended and finished product), conducting microbial analysis, and preparation and standardization of reagents were acquired. The student trainee also experienced to be an in-line QA specialist. This plant practice also enabled the student trainee to develop good personnel relation, self-confidence, and self-discipline in accomplishing his tasks in the plant. The student trainee appreciated the role of a food technologist in the food manufacturing company.

A Plant Practice Report entitled “Quality Assurance Operation in the Production of Powdered Juice at the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. was conducted at the Coca- Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc.- Imus Plant, Brgy.
