The study was conducted to determine the level of financial stability of retired government employees in selected areas of Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the socio-economic profile of retired government employees; determine their level of financial stability; determine the preparations they made prior to retirement; determine the relationship between socio-economic profile and financial stability; and lastly, to determine the relationship between preparations made prior to retirement and financial stability of retired government employees. The study was conducted in selected areas of Cavite namely: Dasmarinas City, Imus City, Trece Martires City, Silang and Indang. The participants of the study were 165 government employees residing in aforementioned cities and municipalities. Based on the results, the age of the participants range from 59 to 70 years with an average of 65 years. More than three-fourths of the participants were female, most of them were married and college graduates. The study also revealed that most of the income of the retired government employees came from their pensions. The participants had high level of financial stability in terms of debt ratio, net worth, net income and fixed asset to long term liabilities and net income.
