Abstract: The experiment entitled "Response of Sweet Potato to NK Fertilization" was conducted in Calumpang Cerca, Indang, Cavite from August 6, 1978 to January 6, 1979. The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of Nitrogen and Potassium applied either singly or in combination on the yield of sweet potato. The study also assessed the changes in some of the economic characters of sweet potato as affected by nitrogen or potassium. The land was plowed and harrowed three times. A randomized complete block design of the experiment was used with three replications. Sach replication was subdivided into twelve treatments. Three levels each of nitrogen and potassium (low, meduim and high) were used singly and in combinations. The growth of the plants was quite the same during the first two weeks but differ after the application of fertilizers, Plants treated with high levels of nitrogen produced the most vigorous top growth statistical analysis showed that Treatment 1 (control) gave the lowest mean weight of vegetative parts, the lowest number and the lowest mean weight of marketable tubers. Results revealed that of:all the treatments used. Treatment 8 (75-50-150) produced the highest number and heaviest tubers per plant and the highest computed yield of sweet potato in kilograms per hectare .
