Abstract: TINONAS JESEIL GALE. Determinants and Prevalence of Occupational Stress in Selected Employees of First Cavite Industrial estate. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2013, Adviser: Prof. Rowena R. Noceda. The study was conducted to determine the demographic profile of employees of FCIE, to determine the level of occupational stress experienced by the employees of FCIE, to determine the degree of prevalence of occupational stress among employees of FCIE, to determine the level of employees' performance, to determine the significant difference in occupational stress experienced by the employees when the respondents are group according to demographic profile and to determine the relationship of Occupational stress and Employees performance. The study used descriptive correlational research design to determine the relationship between occupational stress and employees performance. Statistical tools such as mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation were applied to describe the demographic profile of the participants and to determine the degree of prevalence of Occupational stress of employees. Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was used to investigate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Lastly, Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis test was used to determine the sio.nificant difference in occupational stress experienced by the employees when the respondents are group according to demographic profile. The outcomes of this study showed that demographic profile of the respondents have no significant differe ice in terms of their occupational stress. However, it was revealed in the study that gender has significant difference to their occupational stress as well as the length of service of employee's in First Cavite Industrial Estate. It was also determined that task related stress was found to be the most prevalent among occupational stressors. The result also revealed that occupational stressors have significant relationship to employees' performance. Flowever, in initiative criteria and nature of job found no significant relationship to occupational stressors.
