This study was conducted to identify the self-concept of the child laborer at Bahay Pag-asa in terms of having a positive self-concept or negative self-concept; identify the dispositional gratitude of the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa in terms of being appreciative or resentful; identify the level aggression of the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa in terms of physical aggression, verbal aggression, anger and hostility; identify if there is a significant relationship among the three variables; understand how the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa perceive working; and understand the experiences of the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa towards work. Mixed-method design was used in the study. Purposive sampling was used to select the fourteen participants of the study. The results of the study revealed that the self-concept of the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa is above average positive; and the dispositional gratitude is above average appreciation; while the level of aggression is average. The results of the study also revealed that there was no significant relationship between self-concept and dispositional gratitude and self-concept and level of aggression. But it was found out that there was a negative relationship between the dispositional gratitude and level of aggression. The qualitative results obtained through interview supported the results of the study. In the study, it was revealed that the child laborers at Bahay Pag-asa perceived “work” as means to help their family and to support their own needs. They also experience abuse/maltreatment, physical illness, bullying but also received help from other people. They also developed feelings of tiredness, irritation and happiness while working.
