Abstract: MARERO, RONNA R. Psychosocial Needs and Well-Being of Orphans in Mother Caterina Ronclli Shelter Home and Cavite Christian Mission Services of the Philippines INC. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2010. Adviser Ms. Joy G.Novero. The study is about psychosocial needs and well-being of orphans in Home Shelter and Christian Mission Services INC. This study aim to determine (I) the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of, age, gender, status of enrollment, and years of stay in the institution; (2) the psychosocial needs of the respondents in terms of inclusion, control and affection; (3) the well-being of the respondents in terms of personal elements, social elements, spiritual elements and economic/material elements, (4) the significant relationship between psychosocial needs and well-being of the respondents. This study was limited to girl orphans below 12 years old coming from Shelter Home Shelter in Banay-Banay Amadeo, Cavite and Christian Mission Services in Naic, Cavite. This study used two questionnaires; Psychosocial Needs Test and Well-Being Test which was undergone reliability and validity test. Based on the data gathered, it can be conclude that the well-being of the respondents is relatively high even though they are still searching for their selves. Another thing that was concluded is that there is a significant relationship between psychosocial needs and well-being of the respondents. If the respondents got the low psychosocial needs they have a satisfied life and vise versa. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between psychosocial needs and well-being of the respondents. If the respondents got the low psychosocial they have a satisfied life and vice versa.
