This study was conducted to determine the budgeting behavior for medical expenses of high school teachers in Trece Martires City, Cavite. It aimed to: (1) describe the demographic profile of selected high school teachers in Trece Martires City, Cavite; (2) describe the economic profile of selected high school teachers in Trece Martires City, Cavite; (3) identify the factors influencing budgeting behavior for medical expenses of selected high school teachers; (4) determine the budgeting behavior of high school teachers in terms of spending habits and financial planning, (5) determine the relationship between the demographic profile of selected high school teachers and their budgeting behavior for medical expenses: (6) determine the relationship between the economic . profile of selected high school teachers and their budgeting behavior for medical expenses; and (7) determine the relationship between the factors that influence the budgeting behavior and their budgeting behavior for medical expenses of selected high school teachers. Two hundred high school teachers participated in the study. Data were gathered using survey questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequency count, percentage, and mean. The average age of the high school teachers was 39 years old. Most of them were females and almost two-third was married. Seventy-six percent finished Education Courses and 56 percent had 0 to 1 child. Seventy percent were working in public schools, and 70 percent of the participants had two to five family members. Twenty-one high school teachers had self illnesses and 40 participants had family illnesses. Fifty-eight percent of the participants had no finance background during their school days and 60 percent considered their living and working environment in allotting money for medical expenses. On budgeting behavior for medical expenses, high school teachers were undecided in terms of spending habits and financial planning. The study revealed the relationship between the participants’ civil status, number of children and family size to the budgeting behavior for medical expenses of high school teachers.
