The study was conducted to identify the entrepreneurial intention and capabilities of the rank and file private employees. It aimed to determine the socio-demographic profile of rank and file private employees in terms of age, gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, length of service, monthly income, and number of dependents. It also tends to identify the relationship between the socio-demographic profiles of the participants to their entrepreneurial intention and capabilities; and to ascertain the relationship between the participants' entrepreneurial intention and capabilities. The participants of the study were 150 rank and file private employees in selected municipalities in Cavite, with at least 5 years in service. A questionnaire was used to gather data from the participants. The frequency, percentage, mean, range and standard deviation were used in presenting demographic characteristics of the participants; Chi-Square and Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient were used to determine the relationship and interpret the data gathered. Based on the result, most of the participants were 28-32 years old, majority were male, college graduates, have been in service for 5-9 years, has a net monthly income of P5,000-10,000 and has 0-2 dependents. Entrepreneurial intention of the rank and file private employees including their personal attitude, perceived behavioural control, self-efficacy and social norms were found to be high. Capabilities of the rank and file private employees including their attitudes, social factors, skills and knowledge were found to be high also. Net monthly income, highest educational attainment and length of service have significant relationship to entrepreneurial intention, while the results showed that the socio-demographic profiles of the participants does not have a relationship with their entrepreneurial capabilities. The entrepreneurial intention of the rank and file private employees was found significant to the entrepreneurial capabilities.
