The purpose of this research study was to assess the Fire Safety Enforcement at the Cavite State University - Don Severino Delas Alas Campus. It also determine the extent of the fire safety inspection at the Cavite State University as perceive by the CvSU administrators and fire personnel with regard to before, during and after inspection by both participants.
The researchers used a quantitative method to gather information, analyses and interprets the collected data and used an adopted interview guide to support the study. The results revealed that the requirement for fire safety inspection was inseparable. The study concluded that there was “no significant difference” between BFP personnel and CvSU administrators. It presumes the participants have the same perception with regards to the compliance of fire safety permit, BFP permit and insurance policy permit. Also, both of them commented and agreed that in case of fire occurrence, installation of fire extinguishers in laboratory rooms and floors, smoke detectors, fire alarms, automatic fire sprinklers, fire exit doors, fire hydrant, fire exit ladders and illuminated sign ages. In addition, the university officials, deans and other personnel need to formulate or review the existing fire action plan: and attend various seminars for further improvement regarding fire safety measures to prepare the faculty, staff and students in fire occurrence.
