The entrepreneurial project was conducted to enable the students to apply their skills and gained experiences in the actual operation of the food service business. Specifically, the project aimed to describe the operation and marketing of the products – mini cupcake, cupcake, cake, macaroons, tart, loaf and cookies, determine the profitability of the business; and identify the problems encountered in operating the project and suggest solutions to the problem.
The project named Sefioritas was a business partnership of three BS Business Management students who shared the responsibilities in operating the business. It was located at the University Mall in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite and engaged in selling banana-based bread and pastries. The project operated for three months from November 10, 2014 to February 17, 2015.
The business enterprise had its highest sales amounted to P16, 340.00 and the lowest at P9, 075.00 during the first and third months of operation, respectively. Some problems were encountered by the business which resulted to a net loss at P9,544.65.
