Abstract: BOHOLANO, JUDE MICHAEL R., MENDOZA, KRISTINE CAMILLE, and PEREY, LAWRENCE CHRISTOPHER P. Investing Knowledge, Willingness, and Practices of Regular Employees in Selected PSE-Listed Companies in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Financial Management. Cavite State University—Main Campus. June 2018. Thesis Adviser: Prof. Dolores L. Aguilar, CPA. The study was conducted from January to April 2018 to determine the investing knowledge, willingness, and practices of regular employees in selected PSE-listed companies in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the socio-economic profile of regular employees; find out what types of investment regular employees are into; know the level of investing knowledge of the regular employees; determine the practices regular employees do in investing; determine the participants' socio-economic profile and their investing knowledge; determine the relationship between the participants' investing knowledge and their willingness towards investing; and determine the relationship between the participants' investing knowledge and their investing practices. The researchers used descriptive and correlational research approach under nonexperimental research as the study's research design. Both purposive and quota sampling technique were used as sampling techniques in the study. A total of 150 regular employees were used as this study's participants. Frequency count, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and Likert Scales were used to analyze the data gathered. Chi-square test was used in determining the relationship of the participants' socio-economic profile— age, education attainment, civil status, sex, job level, length of service in the company, and monthly net income—to their investing knowledge. Spearman rank correlation was used to ascertain the relationship between their investing knowledge and willingness towards investing, as well as their investing knowledge and investing practices. More than half or 53 percent of the participants were male, most of them were 20 to 24 years of age, 47 percent were undergraduates, 67 percent were single, and 51 percent have entry-level jobs. Majority of them or 75 percent were working for five years and below, and 47 percent were earning less than P 10,000, monthly. The results revealed that participants invested regularly in savings accounts. The overall mean rating of their investing knowledge indicated that regular employees were slightly knowledgeable about investing. The study also showed that the participants, in general, showed unwillingness towards investing. Furthermore, the overall mean of investing practices implied that the practices stated were regularly practiced by the participants. The three socio-economic characteristics—age, educational attainment, and length of service—have significant relationships with the participants' investing knowledge. On the contrary, this study showed that investing knowledge has no significant relationship to willingness in investing as well as to the participants' investing practices.
