Abstract: This farm practice entitled "Propagation of Selected Ornamental Trees Inoculated with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi" was conducted at the greenhouse of the Department of Crop Science, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from August to December 1993. The general objective of the project was to enable the student gain technical knowledge in the use of mycorrhizal inoculant in the propagation of selected ornamental trees. Specifically, it aimed to attain eighty percent germination rate of seedlings and more than twenty five percent return on investment from the project. Eight hundred seedlings of Golden shower (Cassia fistula) and two hundred seedlings of Acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) were inoculated with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi. These were maintained under greenhouse condition for four months. A total amount of P3,166.80 was invested in the project. Recovered were 800 plants of Golden Shower and 200 plants of Acacia. The selling price for both crops was P7.00 per plant for class A and P5.00 per plant for class B. The gross income amounted to P6,500.00. The net income realized was P3,333.20. A value of 105.25% return on investment (ROI) was computed as the measure of the project's profitability.
