A four-month enterprise development project on marketing of flowers was conducted in Indang, Cavite. Through this project, the students were given the chance to apply their knowledge in business management. By establishing their own business, the concepts and theories learned were put into practice and the students learned to earn while studying. Moreover, the students were able to develop their entrepreneurial skills in their involvement in this income generating project.
Data concerning the marketability of flowers were gathered through direct observation, personal interviews with those that are engaged in the same business and the other data were based on the actual operation.
Four students worked as business partners and operated a small-scale flower shop project. The entrepreneurial project utilized a starting capital of P25, 000. The amount was used to purchase the necessary tools and raw materials and other operating expenses. The 4 P's in marketing were mainly considered in the project.
Analysis of the financial statements of the project was done to gauge the performance of the project with regards to its net income, assets and operating expenses.
