Online resources: Abstract: A study on the "Response of Winged Beans to Storage and Seed Treatments" was conducted at Buna Cerca, Indang, Cavite from December 8, 1978 to February, 19790 Seeds of winged beans, variety Nakhonsawan 26-01 were planted on a 200 square-meter field which was laid out in a split-plot design. The plants were carefully observed until the seedling stage. Experimental findings showed that seeds planted right after harvest exhibited the earliest germinating ability which decreased relatively as storage periods became longer. Soaking seeds in hot water for 15 minutes had a marked influence on germination rates just as when this was followed by mixing sand and also by soaking seeds in cold water for 24 hours. Seeds that did not undergo any treatment showed the least response to germination. This only shows that the increase in seed storage period will mean a decrease in germination rates while on the other hand seed treatment showed a marked evidence of influence to percentage germination.
