A three-month entreprise development project (EDP) was conducted at 647 J. Dimabiling
St. Barangay. Poblacion IV Indang, Cavite from November 20, 2013 to February 21, 2014. The
project aimed to produce products which are cost-efficient and useful, to determine the
profitability of producing and selling eco-friendly bags and identify the problems encountered in
the operation and recommend feasible solutions. The project covered all the functional
management aspects such as organizational aspect, production, marketing and financial. The
operations were performed by the entrepreneurs under a partnership type of ownership. During
the conduct of the EDP, the students were able to apply their knowledge, skills and techniques
in business operation. They also gained experiences in the various aspects of enterprise
development such as customer relations, decision making, and implementation of business
strategies.
Data and other relevant information pertaining to entrepreneurial project were gathered
through actual operations and observations. The enterprise offered eco-friendly bags, purses
and pouches especially for ladies, bag collectors and nature lovers. Also, the entrepreneurs
used cost-based pricing strategies. Also, different strategies in selling the products which
include consignment were done. Store display, networking, tarpaulin and flyers were used in
promoting the products.
For the three-month period, the enterprise generated a total sale of P72, 260.00; cost of goods
sold amounting to P31, 347.50; and gross income of P40, 912.50. After deducting the total
operating expenses, a net income of P28, 372.26 was obtained from the project.
