The project entitled "Production of Mungbean and Peanut under Bancod Condition" was conducted at Bancod, Indang, Cavite from August 1984 to February 1985. The project aimed to determine the production of mung bean and peanut planted in succession on a newly opened field. The project also aimed to determine the potential of a small area (5,000 sq. m.) in maximizing income, through the application of proper care and management on mung bean and peanut. The 5,000 square meter field was prepared by plowing and harrowing twice with an interval of one week for every operation. Then, mongo was planted as the first crop and immediately after it was harvested, peanut was planted. Proper care and management was practiced throughout the duration of the project. Some adverse condition like the weather and excessive soil moisture had seriously affected the plants, thus, causing a reduction in crop yield. Considering the cost and return analysis, the result revealed that mung bean and peanut production gave only a net profit of P1,056.00 for seven months.
