Bachelor of industrial technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2018. Adviser: Mr. Danielito R. Escano. Hydraulic press system is needed in automotive shop or machine shop. It. helps by pressing and removing automobile parts. Generally, the focus of this study is to develop a lightweight hydraulic press instructional trainer. It specifies the process in the replacement of bearing, suspension bushing, power steering oil seal and rack-end pinion repair kit. The project design was useful and effective to gather more knowledge for the future students and made more efficient to team the idea on how to develop a lightweight hydraulic press and its process and operations through actual application. This serves as a guide to know the principles of hydraulic press system. The project design is used in the automotive shop of Cavite State University as a trainer for the instructor and automotive students. The process in developing lightweight hydraulic press started with canvassing the parts used for constructing the design project. Alter the canvassing, the researchers constructed the lightweight hydraulic press system, first, by constructing the main frame of the hydraulic press. After the construction of the main frame, the researchers drilled the holes for round bar and fabricated steel plate for the guide while pressing. After the constructions and fabrications, they install all the other features of the lightweight hydraulic press system, such as bench grinder. The bench grinder was located on the left side of hydraulic press, and the industrial spring was the main pulley of hydraulic jack to move it up and down easily. The light weight hydraulic press was proven efficient in terms of giving service for pressing automobile parts. The instructional trainer was also proven efficient by machine shops and automotive shops that used hydraulic press. Based on the obtained result, the authors recommend to innovate more alternative ways of pressing other than using hydraulic jack.
