The study was conducted from August 2017 to March 2018 at Cavite State
University, Indang Cavite to develop an information system for the Office of the Board
Secretary of Cavite State University. Specifically, it aimed to: l . create an account module
to know the different users; 2.develop a file management module to filter the files of the Board
Resolution; 3. conduct a report module to speed up the generation of reports; and
4. evaluate the system using unit, integration and system testing.
The system provided three modules, account module, file management module,
and report module. Account module handles users access in the information system. File
management module allows users to view/filter documents. Report module provides
records of all the documents and generates reports.
The researchers used the Iterative Development Methodology to develop the system
which is composed Of seven (7) phases namely: planning; requirement and analysis design;
implementation; software testing; unit testing; evaluation and deployment phase.
Furthermore, with the help of Dreamweaver, PHP, XAMPP, and MySQL the system
was developed. The system was evaluated by 50 respondents. It was composed of
Board Secretary, Ten (10) Faculty Members, and 39 selected students of Cavite State
University-Main. The system passed all the criteria in the evaluators and met all the
requirements and objectives.
