Abstract: The study aimed to determining the influence of sodium chloride (NACl) on the growth and root development of radish. It was conducted from November 20,1977 to January 24 1978 in the Don Severino Agricultural . Sodium chloride was applied in the rings two weeks after the. emergence of the crops at different rates as 200, 250, 1and 300 kilograms per hectare to the different plots distributed at random over the entire field. From the results of the experiment, application of 200 kilograms of NaCl per hectare gave on the average significant effect on the plants at maturity with respect to the diameter and weight of roots. Findings indicate that the application of sodium chloride at the wove rate greatly influence the growth and root development of radish. This means higher returns from the crop..
