This study was conducted in Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite and Alfonso, Cavite
from November 2004 to January 2005 in order to produce mosquito repellent candle
using neem and eucalyptus oil as essence, determine the physical properties of the
produced candles and evaluate the effectiveness of the candles.
This study was conducted in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with
four treatments replicated three times. The treatments were: 750 ml candle drips and
paraffin, T 750 ml candle drips and paraffin with 3 75 ml neem oil and 1.25 ml eucalyptus oil, 750 ml candle drips and paraffin with 2.5 ml neem oil and 2.5 ml
eucalyptus oil and 750 ml candle drips and paraffin with 1.25 ml neem oil and 3 75 ml eucalyptus oil.
It was tested and proven that all the produced candles in each treatment are effective in repelling mosquito
